SYLVIE FISCHER
Sylvie Fischer is the perfumer for IFF. She is the author of Happy In Red Armand Basi, Couleur Rose-Pink Kenzo, OH Denim Extreme UER MI, as well as several fragrances from the Brocard collection "Scents of Nature". She was born into a family, several generations of which worked in the perfume industry. She began her career with an internship at Robertet, after which in 1982 she was accepted to an entry-level position at Takasago. There she also completed a full training as a perfumer under the mentorship of Michel Almairac. Her first independent works began to appear in the late 1990s; among them were Fleur d`Eau Rochas, a female version of Destiny Harley Davidson and Iceberg Effusion Iceberg. In 2008, Signature Woman was released, created by Fischer for the perfume line of David Beckham and became the first fragrance in the Signature collection addressed to a female audience. Following this, Sun Sorbet, a continuation of the extensive Sun collection by the German fashion brand Jil Sander, and Happy In Red, a flanker of the super-popular In Red Armand Basi, were released. 2013 brought Couleur Rose-Pink from the Couture Kenzo line, and two new products from the Italian premium brand Mandarina Duck — Pink Is In The Air and Oh Bella. In 2017, the first fragrances from the Brocard “Scents of Nature” collection were released: “Black Currant and Mint” and “Wild Strawberry and Wild Herbs”. A year later, the “Sea Buckthorn and Gooseberry” composition was added to the water series. Fisher also managed to work with niche brands; her portfolio includes Helium [2He] for the Italian independent brand Nu Be, as well as OH Denim Extreme, which joined the UER MI collection in 2020 and remains one of the perfumer’s latest works to date.
