KAJAL
Kajal is a French perfume brand created by former YSL Beauté and L’Oreal employees Mohamed Khalaf and Ibrahim Faris in 2015. The brand’s first works were the powdery-citrus Kajal and the woody-spicy Kajal Homme, as well as the Dahab eau de parfum with notes of passion fruit, green apple and musk. Following them in 2017, the portfolio was replenished with the men’s collection The Fiddah (“Silver”): at the start, it included five oriental fragrances in a recognizable design. The visual leitmotif of the line is the use of silver elements and the signature eight-pointed star. 2018 brought the brand the floral quartet The Wardé. This time, the packaging tones were intended to reflect the mood of the compositions: thus, the pink-spicy Jihan was given a smoky violet shade, the rich honey Joorie was given a scarlet hue; the black-and-white palette was divided by the currant Warde and Yasmina with notes of leather and spices. The design for this series was developed by the co-owner of the brand Mohammed Khalaf (he also created the visual concept for the special edition of Aramis Perfume Calligraphy).
