MACKENZIE REILLY
Mackenzie Reilly is a junior perfumer at IFF. She is the author of Meander and Ashore Amouage, Lost Alice Masque Milano, as well as fragrances for Zoologist, A Lab on Fire and other niche brands. She was born and raised in New York. Since childhood, she was receptive to fragrances, but became seriously interested in perfumery at the age of 16 after meeting Dzing! L'Artisan Parfumeur. She received a liberal arts education at Trinity College in Hartford, where she studied French language and literature. After graduating in 2009, she worked in SMM at Comptoir Sud Pacifique and book publishing house Assouline. In 2010, she was accepted to IFF as a coordinator. Three years later, she began training as a perfumer: for two years she completed an internship at the New York branch of the company, then continued her education in Singapore, the Netherlands and Grasse. In 2017, she received the title of Junior Perfumer, returned to the New York division of IFF and began collaborating with major clients. Among her first signed works were California Snow and Hossegor for the American niche brand A Lab on Fire. They were followed by Macanudo for Maison d'Etto and a line of fragrances for Caswell Massey. 2020 brought her first major works - Meander and Ashore, which expanded the collection of the Omani brand Amouage. The young perfumer's portfolio also includes reissues of Macaque Zoologist in Yuzu Edition and Fuji Apple Edition, as well as Cypress in Oak and Sandalwood in Oak Scents of Wood. Among Riley's latest works is the woody aromatic composition Lost Alice, which expanded the Masque Milano line in 2021.
