
DOMITILLE MICHALON BERTIER
Domitille Michalon Bertier is a highly skilled Senior Perfumer at IFF, with over two decades of experience in the fragrance industry. She received her education in perfumery from the renowned ISIPCA perfumery school and joined IFF as a trainee in 1994. She worked her way up the ranks and was promoted to Senior Perfumer in 2007.
Throughout her career, Domitille has worked with numerous prestigious brands, including Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Dior, Lancôme, Marc Jacobs, Viktor&Rolf, and many more. Some of her most famous creations include Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb, Van Cleef & Arpels Midnight in Paris, and Marc Jacobs Perfect.
Domitille draws inspiration from various sources, such as cooking, art, travel, and reading. She is known to transcribe words, inspirations, and memories into perfumes by associating ideas and using her library of smells and agreements that she has created and kept. Domitille is interested in working with natural ingredients and continuously explores new ingredients to enrich her palette.
When asked about her favorite scent, Domitille mentioned the smell of iris concrete and expressed her desire to work with a natural popcorn absolute. She also shared an original association of Timur pepper and vetiver.
Domitille is a Vice President Perfumer at IFF, and is recognized for her intuition, passion, perseverance, fragrance, and creativity skills. She graduated from ISIPCA in 1992-1994, and was part of the YSL promotion.
