
SHYAMALA MAISONDIEU
Shyamala Maisondieu is an internationally recognized perfumer born in Malaysia to Malay and Indian parents. Growing up in a multicultural environment, she developed a unique perspective on the world that would later influence her work as a perfumer. Shyamala moved to London for her education, where her passion for fragrances eventually blossomed. While living in Hong Kong, she discovered her talent for creating fragrances and decided to pursue a career in perfumery. Shyamala studied at the prestigious Givaudan School of Perfumery in Grasse and Argenteuil, where she met her future husband, fellow perfumer Antoine Maisondieu.
After joining Givaudan, Shyamala Maisondieu began working with several renowned brands such as Etat Libre d'Orange, Tom Ford, and Lanvin. Her notable collaborations include the creation of Idôle by Lancôme, which showcased her creativity and global perspective on the world of fragrance. Throughout her career, Shyamala has established herself as an innovative and skilled perfumer with an impressive portfolio of diverse fragrances.
Shyamala’s multicultural background has played a significant role in her life and work.
