
MATHILDE BIJAOUI
Mathilde Bijaoui was born in Paris, carrying a dual heritage of her father's vibrant North African culture and her mother's traditional French upbringing. She inherited both traits, shaping her character and creativity. From a young age, Bijaoui's father introduced her to the world of cooking, where she developed a keen sense of smell while exploring various ingredients at the market. This exposure to different aromas sparked her fascination with scents.
Bijaoui's passion for fragrance grew after a visit to the Osmothèque, the international perfume conservatory in Versailles. Upon discovering the renowned ISIPCA school of perfumery, she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a perfumer. Bijaoui completed two years of chemistry studies before enrolling at ISIPCA.
In 2004, Mathilde Bijaoui joined the prestigious fragrance company MANE, initially working in Bar-sur-Loup before moving to Paris in 2005. Known for her sharp and pure style, Bijaoui has created an array of exquisite fragrances for various brands such as BDK Parfums, Bentley, Betsey Johnson, Charriol, Deborah, Dolce & Gabbana, DSQUARED², Ermanno Scervino, Etat Libre d'Orange, Giovanna Antonelli, Jacomo, Jean-Louis Scherrer, Jo Malone London, La Martina, Lalique, Lilly Pulitzer, Mami Wata, Milano Fragranze, Neotantric, NEZ, Parfums Marco Serussi, Penhaligon's, Police, Pozzo di Borgo, Roberto Cavalli, Roger & Gallet, Salvador Dali, Souleiado, Tous, YesForLov, Yves Saint Laurent, and Zadig & Voltaire.
Among her most popular creations are Jo Malone London Myrrh & Tonka, BDK Parfums Gris Charnel, Etat Libre d'Orange Tilda Swinton Like This, Lalique Hommage à l'Homme Eau de Toilette, and Jo Malone London Scarlet Poppy Intense.
