Dries Van Noten (born in Antwerp, 1958) is a renowned Belgian fashion designer and third-generation tailor. After studying at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, he launched his first menswear collection in 1986 and has since presented seasonal collections for both men and women. He has received numerous honors, including the International Designer of the Year Award from the CFDA and was named Officier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French government. In 2014, a major retrospective of his work was exhibited in Paris and Antwerp. In 2018, the Spanish group Puig became the majority owner of his brand, while Van Noten continues as Chief Creative Officer and Chairman. In 2019, he collaborated with legendary designer Christian Lacroix for a highly praised women's collection.
