NICOLAS BONNEVILLE
Nicolas Bonneville is a renowned perfumer working with Firmenich, one of the leading fragrance and flavor companies in the world. Born and raised in France, he discovered his love for perfumery at the young age of 12 during a trip to Grasse, a town known as the perfume capital of the world. Since then, he has been enamored with the art of fragrance creation and has traveled the world to learn from the best in the industry.
After completing his studies in chemistry, Nicolas pursued his passion for perfumery and underwent extensive training in Grasse under the guidance of Jacques Maurel. He has also traveled to various parts of the world to source natural ingredients, including jasmine sambac from India, bergamot and mandarin from Italy, iris from Florence, and orange blossom from Tunisia.
Nicolas draws inspiration from nature and is an avid gardener, growing a variety of plants and flowers in his own garden in Paris. He is also a lover of art, particularly pop and street art, and finds inspiration in the way artists like Warhol, Haring, JonOne, and Banksy repurpose everyday objects and reinterpret the urban experience.
Despite his artistic inclinations, Nicolas also has a competitive side and draws parallels between the qualities that drive his success as a perfumer and those that make for a successful racing team. He attends the annual Le Mans 24-hour car race in his hometown and admires the teamwork and collaboration that goes into achieving collective excellence.
Nicolas has worked on fragrances for a wide range of brands, including Givenchy, Jo Malone London, Dries Van Noten, and Avon.
