SONIA CONSTANT
Sonia Constant is a master perfumer and co-founder of Ella K Parfums. She was trained at the prestigious perfume school ISIPCA in Paris as well as the Givaudan perfume school and continued her career at Givaudan, the leading perfume house, where she stayed for over 24 years. Sonia has an impressive list of fragrances to her name, including Ombre Leather for Tom Ford, Tom Ford Noir Extrême, Narciso Rodriguez for Her Pur Musc and for Her Musc Noir Rose, Angel Nova for Mugler, I Want Choo for Jimmy Choo, La Belle and Le Beau for Jean Paul Gaultier, but also for Carolina Herera, Armani, Ralph Lauren, Nina Ricci, Balmain, Montblanc, Burberry, Van Cleef & Arpels, Guerlain, and Kenzo, among others.
Growing up, Sonia didn't know she wanted to be a perfumer, but her love for fragrance made her realize it was the perfect profession for her. Despite her family's doubts, Sonia pursued her dream and trained for five years, combining her studies at ISIPCA with practical experience at Givaudan. Today, Sonia's talent is undeniable, and her extensive list of fragrances speaks for itself.
Sonia's fragrance creations are inspired by her travels and experiences. She carries a Leica camera and Moleskine notepad with her everywhere she goes, capturing images and thoughts that inspire her future creations. For Sonia, creating a fragrance is a visual and olfactory experience, and she draws inspiration from colors, atmosphere, landscapes, and emotions.
In addition to her work at Givaudan, Sonia created her own perfume collection, ELLA K, in 2017. Through ELLA K, Sonia was able to express her personal and philosophical vision of the world. Sonia is passionate about her work and loves exploring new scents and ingredients, constantly expanding her knowledge and creative abilities.
Sonia's favorite fragrance notes include ambroxan, cashmeran, orange flower, and orris. Her least favorite scent is vomit, and she also dislikes the smell of durian fruit. Sonia's work has earned her recognition in the industry, and she continues to be one of the top perfumers in the world.
