Marrypierre Julien is a senior perfumer at Givaudan. She is the author of compositions for Victoria's Secret, Christian Audigier, Calvin Klein, as well as many fragrances from American celebrities. She graduated from the University of Marseille with a master's degree in biochemistry. In 1993, she entered the ISIPCA perfume school. In her first year of study, she was accepted for an internship in the production of Florasynth food flavors. This was followed by training at the manufacturer Takasago under the mentorship of Bertrand Duchaufour. In 1996, Julien graduated from ISIPCA and was soon accepted to the staff of Argeville. In 1998, she moved to Quest International (today part of Givaudan), where she continued her training as a perfumer for the next few years. Julien began signing her first fragrances in the late 2000s. The debut was 5th Avenue Nights Elizabeth Arden and Christian Audigier For Women, the first fragrance for women in the fashion house line. This was followed by fragrances for the American mass market - Anthropologie, GAP, Brooks Brothers, - as well as Julien's first composition for Victoria's Secret, Sexy Little Things Noir Tease. Later, another work of the perfumer for the lingerie brand was released - the floral-oriental fragrance Angel. 2011 brought a new collaboration with Christian Audigier, this time as part of the creation of paired compositions Skulls & Roses in men's and women's versions. In 2012, Julien's first work for the niche segment was released - Java Blossom for the Italian brand Xerjoff. After that, the perfumer focused on luxury compositions; in the following years, Reveal Men Calvin Klein, Double Dare Guess and Figue Blanche from the boutique line Versace saw the light. Julien is known for many celebrity fragrances. Her portfolio includes compositions for Mariah Carey (Vision of Love and Never Forget You from the Lollipop Splash collection), Rihanna (Reb'l Fleur and its flanker Love Always, Rebelle and Rogue), Jessica Simpson (Jessica Simpson, Ten) and Donald Trump (Empire). Among the perfumer's most recent works are Gelsomino for the Italian luxury accessories brand Rubeus Milano, as well as Osmanthus L`Occitane en Provence. Both new products were released in 2021.
