KILIAN
The French perfume house By Kilian was founded by the heir to the famous Hennessy cognac dynasty, Kilian Hennessy, in 2007. The brand's philosophy is based on the aesthetics of love, vice, seduction, etc. Obvious sexual connotations in the names and press releases of the brand are an integral part of the By Kilian image. In 2007, Hennessy presented the first six fragrances, which were later combined into the L'œuvre Noire collection. Over the years, the brand has released many fragrances. Some of them were collaborations (for example, the Sophie Matisse Art Edition collection, released in collaboration with Sophie Matisse), others were exclusive to certain countries (Middle East Exclusives) and cities (Apple Brandy New York, Vodka on the Rocks Moscow). The brand pays special attention to packaging, thereby confirming the products' belonging to the luxury segment and forming an audience. The brand was also the first to define and occupy the “eco luxury” niche, offering customers refillable bottles to reduce waste. In 2015, the brand opened its first flagship store in Paris, at 20 Rue Cambon. By Kilian mono-brand boutiques can also be found in New York, Moscow (TSUM), London (Harrods), Tokyo and Kyiv. Corners can be found in many shopping centers around the world. In 2016, Estee Lauder announced the acquisition of a license for the production of By Kilian, but Kilian Hennessy himself remained the creative director of the brand. In 2018, a line of fragrances in a unique design, aimed at the younger generation, was presented - My Kind of Love, more affordable than products from the main collections. In addition to fragrances, By Kilian produces skin care and decorative cosmetics in luxurious packaging, a bath line, as well as candles.
