    Patricia Choux is the perfumer of Mane. The author of the fragrances Carven, Clean, Amouroud, Lancôme, Clive Christian and many other luxury and niche brands. She was born and raised in Burgundy. Choux's interest in perfumery arose in childhood, when during a trip to Grasse her parents took her to a Fragronard store. She studied biochemistry, after which she entered the perfume school ISIPCA. During her studies, she interned at the manufacturer Florasynth under the mentorship of Dominique Ropion, after graduating from ISIPCA in 1996, she was accepted as a perfumer at Créations Aromatiques. A year later, she joined Haarmann & Reimer (today part of Symrise), where she began collaborating with major clients. Among her first works were fragrances for The Body Shop, Marc Jacobs and the German niche brand Biehl Parfumkunstwerke. In 2008, Very Pretty Michael Kors was released, and a year later, Chic Celine Dion. In 2009, Shu left Symrise and moved to Takasago. In the following years, she took part in the creation of No. 1 Feminine Imperial Coronation and No. 1 Masculine Imperial Coronation for Clive Christian, Carven Pour Homme Carven, as well as fragrances for ICONOfly, Bebe and Gap. In 2015, Shu moved to Mane, joining the company's New York branch. This was followed by collaborations with Amouroud, Coolife and Nomenclature. The perfumer's portfolio also includes Sel Santal and Lovegrass for Clean, Dans Ma Bulle Carven and Pavlova for the Russian brand Brocard. Among her latest works is Figues & Agrumes, which expanded the Lancôme boutique line in 2019.
